You play as a merchant prince who wants to use the W,A,S,D keys and left click to:

• Trade commodities to get rich.
• Defend the city with militia and mercenaries.
• Get the most Victory Points
  in 1600 when the game ends by patronising the renaissance by paying for art
  and monumental buildings.
